ORIGINAL & VINTAGE GLASS NEGATIVE FROM THE LATE 1800s/Early 1900s Spanish Moss on Trees - Live Oak Avenue & River Road I have recently purchased an estate that contained 5000+ original glass negatives and slides from a man whose father ran a company in the late 1800s-early 1900s that produced glass slides (similar to Magic Lantern, stereoview cards and photo post cards). These are the ORIGINAL one of a kind glass negatives that were used to produce these items. They are not copies, they are 100% authentic to the period. Some have captions on the bottoms (I was told those were used to produce the photo postcards and the stereoviews) and other do not (more than likely for the glass "Magic Lantern like" slides). Again these are the ORIGINAL negs used in production so that are much rarer than the items that were produced from these negatives. Many have tape crop marks on margins on them. I purchased file drawers full of them. They were packed in the original film boxes and stored. The company was S. Townsend located on 234 W 65th Street in Chicago Size is 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 I am showing a "positive" of the image for viewing purposes only. It is not included with the slide.
