A lovely antique English brooch showing a Bachannalian goddess wearing a wreath of grapes and vines in her hair. The depiction of these gods and goddesses was a very popular theme in Victorian England. It is beautifully carved from bog oak, and has it's original brass pin and "c" clasp, and is secure when wearing.
