The cufflinks measure a quarter of an inch by threequarters of an inch and and are set into a gold/brass type metal which is then covered with silver, which has made them much stronger and durable and they have retained their shape. The cufflinks are so lovely and depict a delightful typical victorian aesthetic scene, with a swallow to the centre. The cufflinks have a long link to the retainer which is exactly the same as the fronts and they date very clearly to the victorian period and its very unusual to see this aesthetic design on cufflinks in this condition. These really are a lovely pair of victorian aesthetic cufflinks in very good origional complete condition that look such lovely quality worn and a rare example.
