This is a promotional item from the old Star Brewing Co. of Boston, Mass. It has two blades with a mother-of-pearl handle. One side reads in red: "Star Ales, Star Brewing Company. The other side in green reads "Murphy's Ale, Star Brewing Co." The knife closed is 2 3/4". With both blades extended it is 6".T is small rust dots specks on the upper part of the blade and on inside springs. The pearl handle is perfect. This was a pre-Prohibition brewery at 69 Shirley Street in Boston that closed in 1918 (as did all breweries) and reopened in 1933. The brewery passed into history in 1952.
