Here's a real nice 120 year old antique yellowware pot from France with its rare original Truffled Pate paper label on top of lid....TRUFFLED PATE DE FOIE GRAS BRILLAT BRAND NO.14 PRODUCT OF STRASBOURG, FRANCE KEEP IN A DRY COOL PLACE The base has maker's mark in black print...TERRINE BREVETEE LE CACHET FRANCE 14 There are lion head handles on side of base.....2 3/4"tall x 3 3/4"round......nice glazed yellow earthenware.....Excellent shiny nice condition with no chips or damage. Original paper label is very nice. This pot contained a luxury food product...a pate paste made from duck or goose liver with truffles. "Foie gras" is French for fat liver.
