Lot of 4 Leather TRUE First Edition Books The Centurion by Jan De Hartog - Signed 1989 Selected Poems 1923-1975 by Robert Penn Warren 1976 Whistle by James jones 1978 A Distant Mirror by Barbara W. TuchmanThese luxurious true first editions (that is, by special arrangement with the publisher, appearing in this form before the trade edition) feature sound, supple leather bindings in a variety of warm shades. The books appear unread, or mostly so as evidenced by the tight bindings and clean text. The moire silk endpapers have escaped the very common fading that usually occurs as these books age as well. The books rate "as new" except that the gilded text blocks exhibit some foxing or other inconsistencies. The original Notes from the Editors booklets accompany two of the four books.Please view the gallery as part of the condition description.I'll ship these for $5.00 and combine shipping in the buyer's favor when possible.
