This item is a rare candle mold filler. The tube is 16 1/2" in length, its diameter is 2", and the handle is 15" long and wraps around the tube. The condition is very good with no holes. The tin has the nice dark patina of aged tin. The tube would be filled with hot wax and then poured into the candle mold (see picture 4).This rare candle mold filler is from the collection of Carl Ritchie from Missouri. It dates to around 1850.
