Timex Retro Gentleman's Stainless Steel Wristwatch with Speidel Stainless Steel Strap The item being auctioned is a Timex gentleman's stainless steel watch. It has an integral stainless steel expanding strap by Speidel. It has a quartz .movement. I believe that this is one of the earliest of Timex's quartz watches, as I once had an almost identical watch from the late 1970s, but with a mechanical movement. The watch has just had a new battery fitted. It runs well and, as you would expect with a quartz movement, keeps good time. The watch is in generally good condition. There are a few "dings" on the strap and a few light marks to the crystal but otherwise little discernable wear. This watch is being offered at a low starting price that would be good value just for the "turn it inside out (see pics) and tie it in a knot" Speidel strap.
