This tile was made by pressing the mature aloe vera flower into soft clay and making a mold.The piece is cast from the mold, fired several times with different underglazes, and finally painted with overglaze which is like a watercolor, and then fired 2 more times.It measure 11 1/2" tall by 4" wide and about 1/2" thick. It has a wood backing with wire for ease of hanging. The backing shown is representative of what will be on the back of this tile. If it hangs outdoors, please protect it from rain as the tile will be fine but the wood backing may not hold up with a lot of wetness.I am currently working on more tiles in various themes along with design tiles in different finishes.
