Thanksgiving turkeys and a bounty of harvest delights - rare and fabulous vintage Italian hand embroidered 16 piece placemat set. Made in Italy for Neiman Marcus, c1970. Lovely quality, rich colors, and a wonderful variety of turkeys. Lots of autumn goodies too - pumpkins, nuts, grapes and more. Beautiful appliqué and hand embroidery in different techniques, including graceful chain stitching. This set is amazing.The 8 placemats measure approx 13 x 18 inches, the 8 napkins measure about 20 inches. Color is light ecru. Fabric is semi sheer. There are no fabric tags, but is likely a linen and cotton blend, hand woven in Italy.Excellent condition, unused. Hand laundered, table ready. The set looks fantastic.This came in its original plastic Neiman Marcus sleeve - a little banged up, but we will happily include it.See our listing for another vintage Italian set from Neiman Marcus, with a game bird theme - gorgeous!
