TERNSTEDT Div GM Chief Pontiac Heron Mermaid Cadillac LaSalle Ornaments The most sought after Car Collectable Radiator / Hood Ornaments from the 1920's and on were produced by TERNSTEDT. In 1926 or so General Motors bought the company. Ternstedt made metal stampings for the LaSalle Automobile as well as Cadillac and Pontiac and many other automobile makers. This ashtray may be a worlds fair type item or perhaps a token of when GM bought Ternstedt. Either way it is a rare collectable and would fit nicely into a Radiator / Hood ornament collection for vintage automobiles. The quote reads "WHO SERVES PROGRESS SERVES AMERICA" sounds like a Worlds Fair Theme. Buyer pays shipping and Ins.
