Fabienne Jouvin Paris Designer Geometric Silver Cloisonne Canister 13.75" Provenance: Palm Springs Estate Tall Cloisonne Canister or Tea Jar Lidded Beautiful Black White and Silver colors The metal is an unknown silver color metal, non magnetic (not iron or steel) and not tested for sterling. Great Decor Piece Marked incised in bottom "Fabienne Jouvin Paris" Fabienne Jouvin, a French artist, uses the ancient technique of cloisonne to highlight it's original and timeless designs, inspired by his many travels around the world. According to his website the item is: "hand made according to centuries-old process, the copper base is welded first, then glazed baked, and finally polished with three successive stone." However, do not see copper, perhaps it is plated with a silver metal. Condition : Good pre-owned condition, not mint. Has a small nick in enamel and various scratches and marks. A small ding. But overall presents very well. Measures approximately : 13.5" tall x 5 3/4" diameter x 3 3/4" lid diameter Weight: 3 pound 8 oz.
