Established local business since 1972. DESCRIPTION: You are bidding on a white ironstone, three-piece oval sauce tureen in the Sydenham Shape by T. & R. Boote. The turen base and liner have the impressed mark “T. & R. Boote, Sydenham Shape” along with the diamond registry patenting this to July 21, 1854 and Boote went out of business I 1871. The underplate is correct for the lid and bowl. It stands 7 ½” tall while on the under tray, and the bowl is 6 ¾” long by 5” oval at the outer rim. The underplate is 8 ½” long by 6 ¼” wide. It is a gleaming white glaze with very crisp embossment. There are no cracks or crazing. There is a 1/4" flake/chip on the interior lip where the lid sets and some light discolored dots on the top of the undertray. It weighs 2 lbs 5 oz. before packing and will be a 4 lb. package with box, bubble wrap and peanuts. The cost includes shipping, which will be over $20.00 to the west or gulf coast insured.
