Established local business since 1972. DESCRIPTION: You are bidding on a white ironstone, three-piece oval sauce tureen in the Sydenham Shape by T. & R. Boote. The turen base and liner have the impressed mark “T. & R. Boote, Sydenham Shape” along with the diamond registry patenting this to July 21, 1854 and Boote went out of business I 1871. The underplate is correct for the lid and bowl. It stands 7 ½” tall while on the under tray, and the bowl is 6 ¾” long by 5” oval at the outer rim. The underplate is 8 ½” long by 6 ¼” wide. It is a gleaming white glaze with very crisp embossment. There are no cracks or crazing. There is a 1/4" flake/chip on the interior lip where the lid sets and some light discolored dots on the top of the undertray. It weighs 2 lbs 5 oz. before packing and will be a 4 lb. package with box, bubble wrap and peanuts. The cost includes shipping, which will be over $20.00 to the west or gulf coast insured. SHIPPING & INSURANCE: I have included all, appropriate, warranted shipping formats for this auction based on the type of item or weight. All listed shipping formats will appear on the PayPal invoice so you can choose. I pre-weigh all items for ACTUAL shipping weight, NEVER flat rate "guestimates". Why should someone on the east coast pay shipping rates of a west coast buyer, and why should anyone pay exaggerated, made-up costs? I ship goods for another home based business (NYS sales tax is added to the invoice) so the listed shipping is based on the actual weight of the item plus appropriate weight for the bubble wrap, peanuts and box. It also includes a nominal handling fee of $1.50 to cover eBay's "shipping commission fee". The USPS now covers $100.00 of insurance on priority mail packages as long as the labels are printed online. If packages are taken into a USPS location and priority mail shipping is purchased, they will cover the first $50.00. This means, just like UPS, the postal service will cover claims on the first $50.00/$100.00 of a priority mail package for damage or loss. The insurance coverage only applies to priority mail shipping. I will no longer add insurance to my auctions unless I expect the total to exceed $100.00 or expect a breakable or fragile package to be shipped by non-priority means. So, rest assured, I will not be pocketing extra funds at your expense. Domestic non-priority mail shipping quote(s) on breakable or fragile items will include $.79 ShipSaver insurance coverage per $100.00 auction increment. First-class international shipping quotes on breakable or fragile items will include $1.00 ShipSaver insurance coverage per $100.00 auction increment, only allowed to countries not excluded by U.S. law or customs. I usually do not add insurance to less expensive, non-breakable or non-fragile items anyway because of USPS delivery confirmation. The shipping label WILL NOT say "INSURED" but you will receive email confirmation to prove the extra ShipSaver insurance coverage and that I did not "pocket the funds". I will combine multiple items and send new invoices if you win more than one item. CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS: I have my own secure credit card service and capability. You can contact me for using it to pay for any current DOMESTIC sales, not international. Eventually I will be exclusively using that for payments outside of pick-up and pay.
