This superb classical bronze bust of the militarian Napoleon was part of a recent house clearance. The owner was an avid collector of bronzes from the 18th, 19th and later centuries. This included figurines of militaria, art deco, art nouveau, animals and classical. With lots of negotiations with the executors of the estate we were able to purchase the entire collection. This is a superb classical bronze bust of the militarian Napoleon. Mounted onto a stepped marble base. The overall height is about 14inches with a max width of about 9inches. Base size of about 6 x 5.5inches. Inscribed to bronze at the rear: Lecomte. The overall condtion is excellent and has no blemishes. Besides being a very collectable and very heavy bronze bust of Napoleon, would also look fabulous displayed.
