This auction is for a Stunning Antique Sterling Silver Marcasite and Black Onyx Brooch /Broach. It is in excellent condition and is free of any damage other then a little tarnish. I leave it up to the buyer if it should be polished or not. It measures 1&1/2" long by 1/2" wide. It has a rotating C shaped pin lock. The back is clearly marked 925 for Sterling Silver. This is truly a very old fine piece of jewelry witnessed by the fact that each and every marcasite is individualy prong set into the piece with four prongs per marcasite instead of simply gluing the marcasites on!!!! I would date this brooch with the workmanship, material and the pattern to about 1928. I do offer combined shipping. So be sure to check out my other items for auction.
