Pricing & History
"4" gallon capacity mark, ovoid form with heavy, beaded neck ring, arched handles with light groove, and high collar with flat-top rim. Brushed cobalt dropped floral pendant flanked by dropped feathers on each side of jar.Color: salt-glazed, Attribution: Probably the shop of Solomon Bell (1817-1882), or Adam Keister Sr. (1782-1847) and/or his sons Adam Keister Jr (1819-1876) and Henry Keister (1814-1875). Circa: 1835-1850. Condition: Undamaged except for a minor chip to rim and chipping to underside of one handle. Warped form, as made. Size: 15" H, 9" x 10 1/4" rim.
