7 South Antiques This is a sterling, ring handled, medicine spoon made by J.B. & S.M. Knowles. The back of the handle is die struck with a cross and "Red Cross, Medicine Spoon, J.B.& S.M. Knowles Co., Prov., R.I., U.S.A.". Apparently, someone used this for a baby spoon was it has "Baby" engraved on the handle. The spoon is 4 1/4" long. The bowl might have been originally gilt as t seems to be traces of gilding around the edges of the bowl. The spoon shows some general, light wear with a couple of tiny and shallow dents in the bowl. All in all, the spoon is in very good condition. High bidder to pay 4.05 shipping charges. We ship by Priority Mail. If other methods are used, a handling fee will be charged. International bidder's will be quoted shipping price at the end of the auction. Insurance is optional. We are not responsible for packages lost or damaged during shipping.
