This gorgeous L.E Smith carnival glass Bride’s Basket is a beautiful iridescent clear white. The basket is in the Heritage pattern, an intricate mix of pinwheels and quilt-like designs. The bottom of the basket has an intricate star design, while the rim of the basket is fluted and slightly ruffled. The piece, which was probably produced in the 1960’s or 1970’s, is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The basket is marked with an “S” on the bottom. It is 7.5 inches high including the handle, 7.5 inches long, 5 inches wide and 3.25 inches at the base. The basket would be beautiful holding favors at a bridal shower or even as a focal point at the bride’s table. It would also be a wonderful addition to any carnival glass, basket or L. E. Smith collection.
