This beautiful basket is a oval 2008 Longaberger basket with lid. It comes with a plastic and flower decorative cloth liner. It also includes a pink flower charm that hangs on the front of the basket and a decorative lid with hand painted colorful flowers. The Longaberger basket is hand crafted of hardwood maple by American artisan. The basket maker first creates a sturdy bottom for the basket and attaches it to a wooden form. Adding one row at a time, the basket maker passes the wet weaves over and under the splints, tapping the weaving tightly together. Finishing touches are added, and in the Longaberger tradition, the basket maker proudly initials and dates the basket.
