Let me start by saying I know little about sewing machines. I do not know how to sew. This is made by Singer, it is a model 15NL. From my brief research is was re-introduced in the mid 1970's as a tribute to a 1920's model 15. From the mid 1970’s what are often referred to as ‘Nostalgia’ model 15’s were made in Taiwan and then later in China. These were made to the same design as earlier machines with the traditional black cast iron bodies and with the RAF or Sphinx decals etc. They were even supplied in the old style bentwood cases or treadle tables. It certainly is a looker with the Egypt design on front, top and back. The cabinet cover is well made and very clean...not mint but very clean. This machine looks like it has not been used much, or abused. I bought it for the nice condition. I certainly plugged it in and the foot pedal started it as it should and the needle moved cleanly up and down. That's all I got, I did not sew with it. There is a little tool kit with it that I didn't show in pictures. In it are 3 bobbins, little tool kit, couple needles and a small bag with some kind of shafts in it?
