Both of these are signed by the author to E.V. Richardson, a vaudeville actor who was instrumental in founding the Saenger Theater. The titles of the books are Great Gaels, Ireland at Peace in a World War and Roman Notes, War and Peace in the Eternal City.One book has “For E.V. RichardsonJr., Compliments of the author Sept. 27, 1956. For E.V. Richardson, Jr. Who like most Americans has “Jewish connections”. With the writers special regards for his career in the theatrical entertainment business.The books are not in excellent condition, though they certainly are readable. There is some staining and the boards are bent, but the author’s signature and to who, he inscribed them surely has some historical value.
