This is a vintage Sheaffer Imperial ballpoint pen that was made in the 1960s or 1970s. It has a sterling silver cap and barrel. It is clip actuated and was made as a matching piece for the Imperial fountain pen but they did sell these on their own also. This pen is just about mint and apperasd unused. It still has the original sticker on the back of the cap. Maker: Sheaffer Model: Imperial Year: 1960s-70s Country of Origin: USA Cap Material: sterling silver Barrel Material: sterling silver Trim Material: gold filled Working Condition: retracts properly but needs a new refill Scratches or Cracks: none Plate wear: none Imprint: Sheaffer USA sterling silver A really nice Sheaffer pen. Sheaffer no longer makes pens in the USA. . Check out my 7,000 plus positive feedback. 04.11.023
