WOW! This Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Handlan Railroad Lantern is a real beauty! I have owned this for about 20 years and the person that I received it from had it for at least that long! They purchased it from an antique stop in Kansas! As you can see this one is very nice with the Original Kopp Red Globe with AT&SF etched in the glass! This also has the K in a circle molded in the glass for the Kopp Company! The Glass is in excellent condition with NO chips or cracks!!! I am NOT an expert on Railroad Lanterns so please ask questions and LOOK at all of the pictures I have provided! The top is marked HANDLAN ST. LOUIS, USA ~ also marked AT&SF. The bottom is marked HANDLAN ST. LOUIS, U.S.A. Patented with dates from 1913 - 1928. The inside is very clean. I am unsure if it was never used or if the wick part, which is marked ADLAKE, and the inside chimney part are replaced. This lantern is a beauty and sure to be a favorite in your collection!
