This an unique set of Campaign Buttons that i s fromthe1 9 7 6 Presidential Campaignof GERALD R . FORDThese two ( 2 ) well known , 2 1 / 4th inchcellos features a Peanut ( Jimmy Carter ) wearinga Napoleon outfit in the center with a whitebackground and black lettering .While these two buttons appear tobe alike , they aren ' t . Look closely atthe bottom where" PEANUT EMPEROR 1 "is printed .When these were first made the printersgoofed up and misspelled the word" EMPEROR " which they spelled as "EMPORER"& then they realized what happenedand corrected it .Now the scan shows the peanut itselfin different colors , why I don't know but both havethe brown body as shown in the left picture .
