Set of 6 French Proverb Military Plates. Made by Gien of France.Red patterned rim with black proverb and art in the center. Transferware-esque. The art is wonderful! I believe these are reproductions of the original antique plates, also made by Gien.I photographed each plate and proverb. They are in perfect condition. No chips, cracks or scratches!Diameter: 7 3/4"These are spectacular. They would make an amazing display on any wall. They are quite elegant!
