A Set of Old Bavaria Cup Saucer and Dessert Plate. Each item marked on the bottom: " RW Bavaria. Made in Germany." This is a vintage porcelain set made by Rudolf Wachter Porcelain Manufactory.Wachter started porcelain decorating business in 1893. He moved to Kirchenlamitz, Bavaria in 1913, worked with a partner for a few years, then formed his own Rudolf Wachter Porcelain Manufactory in 1917. Wachter's company continue to decorate porcelain made by others until 1925, when it began to produce its own porcelain mostly for the export to the USA and Italy. The factory closed in 1974.A set is beautifully decorated with golden tone roses and gold on the sides and handle. Cup is about 2.75" tall, diameter: 4". Saucer is 5.75" and Plate is 7.75" in diameter.
