zipzoom Polished Septarian Nodule Slab - Location: Morocco. Here we have a nice cut and polished section made from a septarian 'nodule' from Morocco. Septarian nodules are rounded 'geode-like' and are usually filled with some form of calcite and sometimes aragonite. The nodules can be hollow in the center and have sharply formed yellow colored calcite crystals or the 'hollow' interior can be completely filled with solid calcite.
