D escription: This wooden giraffe was created by the Japanese company "Senshukai" in the late 1960's. It is handmade and comes with the original box and card. The wooden figure has a tiny scratch on back of head, but is in otherwise excellent condition with minimal aging. The box has some wear and folds (see photos).Dimensions: 6" tallHistory: The "Royal Pet" collection sold one animal at a time by a monthly mail order subscription. These animals were inspired by Danish modern wooden animals (like the teak animal figurines designed by Hans Bolling, Kay Bojesen, etc.) and handcrafted by Japanese "Kokeshi" (traditional Japanese wooden dolls) craftsmen.Note: I do offer combined shipping. $5 for each additional doll (under 1 lb.) and $8 for each additional doll (over 1 lb.)
