This beautiful watch is a direct descendant of the first quartz chronograph, the Seiko 7A28. It has a very high quality quartz movement that, unlike most modern quartz watches, can be easily regulated by any watch maker. This is an unusual version, having been sold only in Japan (model SJH010), from about 1983 onwards.The body and bracelet are in stainless steel, with gold plating (PVD?) limited to the bezel, the crown and 3 pushers, and some dial decoration. Unlike many other models, the bracelet has no gold trim between the main links.The crystal is Seiko's hardened glass and, like the rest of the watch, is original and completely unmarked.
