One of the most well-loved punk and/or hardcore bands ever --- 7 Seconds . Having spanned nearly four decades as well as countless subgenres of punk, rock, hardcore, and new wave, very few people associated with alternative music are unaware of this Reno, Nevada-based band.Brothers Kevin Seconds and Steve Youth were the key members involved from the start in January of 1980. 7Seoonds had positive, socially-conscious lyrics and were fundamentally influential to the straight edge and youth crew movements.The 7 Seconds that resonated with me was the early EPs in the 1980-1982 range, their first full-length, The Crew, in 1983, and the EP this shirt is based of of that came out later, in 1985, Walk Together Rock Together. Their compilation appearances around that time on Cleanse the Bacteria and Not So Quit On the Western Front were also big for me in the late 80s when I got into punk and hardcore. Nearly 40 years later, the Walk Together, Rock Together material is my favorite. It's a classic 80s hardcore release that I still listen to every few months.Brian Walsby has done some great art for many punk and hardcore bands, but he really got on the map when he drew the (original) cover of 7 Seconds' Walk Together, Rock Together.
