RedondoBeachBoy LPs, in honor of the life, art, genius, passion and singular beauty of Michael Jackson, is proud to offer a mega-rare 1982 first edition, first pressing FACTORY SEALED copy AND a gorgeous Mint- copy (to enjoy) of Michael Jackson's Epic LP THRILLER . This is the best-sounding pressing, directly from stampers made by the great Bernie Grundman! These copies came straight from the factory in Georgia, from the FIRST PRESSING (NO STICKERS, A1/B2 Matrix !!!) and were given to Herb Alpert by a friend at CBS Records. Two rare, beautiful original 1982 coveted first edition, FIRST pressing LPs with NO STICKERS !!! One STILL SEALED from the factory. The other played 2 times only! Well cared for and stored upright, in protective covers in a smoke-free, climate controlled home. You get one SEALED copy to preserve, and one open (like new) copy to enjoy of the first-off-the presses, best-sounding Thriller recording ever made. As the original master tapes are now 27 years old, no matter what technology is developed in the future, it's likely that these 2 LPs will continue to sound better. Both copies were obtained in 1982 from a nephew of Herb Alpert (musician, producer and entrepreneur). These albums came right off the CBS line in Georgia. A friend of Herb ran the CBS A&R department and frequently gave him original boxes of LPs right off the line (in turn, Herb gave him boxes of A&M LPs). These are two of the LPs from that original box. Most of the others are probably frisbees by now. As I was able to get these two right out of the box, they've been extremely well cared-for ever since they left the factory! The disc in the opened copy has been stored in a Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs (MFSL) Original Master Sleeve, for maximum protection of both the LP and the original first edition inner sleeve (also still like new, in Mint- condition!). Of course, both copies include the famous first edition insert/sleeves (see photo), which contain lyrics, credits and two original drawings by Michael Jackson. T has never been a sticker on these albums. T are NO stickers (song lists, Grammy or Gold/Platinum Record awards, etc.) blocking the photo of Michael Jackson on the cover. T has never been a price tag or store sticker (or sticker of any kind) on these albums and of course, t is no sticky residue stain from a sticker being taken off. Beware of later copies with stickers, such as song lists, Grammy awards, etc. These are later pressings, with DEGRADED sound quality. The two LPs are first pressings from the original stampers made by the great Bernie Grundman himself! The SEALED copy is pristine with no tears in the plastic, no scratches on the jacket, and only the slightest (barely detectable) corner bump on one corner (see photo). The jacket of the opened copy has only the slightest traces of shelfwear (still virtually like new!). The opened copy has been played two times only on a well-calibrated, high end system with a MicroBenz Ruby III reference cartridge. T are NO scuffs, scratches or spindle makes and NO clicks, pops or other unwanted sounds -- only the most gorgeously recorded, beautiful and joyous music from the beloved King of Pop, with demonstration quality sound .
