We have here a collection of Scottish fireplace tools. 6 pieces. 5 are tools and 1 is a match holder. They have a brass type of finish to them. Scottish thistles adorn the tops of the tools. The stand is 14" tall and each of the tools are around 12" in length. Age and use have put scratches and some finish loss on some of the tools, however, they all still work and are ready to clean any fireplace as needed. Great for display use as well. I suspect that these fellows came from Scotland where they have small fireplaces in some of the old row type houses found in that country. They are much smaller in size compared to most fireplace tools we use here everyday. The pictures show well the age and unusual nature of this set and given the chance would be a great conversation piece around your fireplace of "chimene".
