Images were taken of each side of the saucer for you to view, not only the condition, but the beautiful and colorful Wild Flower Design. This saucer is hand-painted and has a Display of Wild Flowers. There is a Wide Gold Edging around the edge of the saucer. There are no cracks, chips, or restorations. This saucer is both colorful and lovely and would be a welcome addition to the matching cup or dish set. The last picture is partial picture of the cup and saucer sets I have put on eBay.WHY BONE CHINA IS IMPORTANT TO THE CUP & SAUCER COLLECTORS: IT'S THE BEST - IT IS NOT ONLY DELICATE AND BEAUTIFUL, BUT IT IS STRONG, DURABLE and translucent.Bone china takes its name from the bone ash added to the soft-porcelain mixture used to make the china. The addition of the bone ash keeps the porcelain from developing fine cracks and also allows for more steadfast colors and gilding. Bone china was developed in England in 1748 in order to compete with imported hard and soft paste porcelain. Traditionally, it was made from two parts bone-ash, one part kaolin, and one part china stone. Porcelain's use adapted over the centuries from table wares to figurines and vases, and can even be used as electrical insulation and building material. read more
