Sari Blue Ice KugelIce Kugels are a very unique design in glass kugel art. These kugels are made to look and feel as a colored, crushed ice ball. The kugel starts out as clear glass, then we gently "fuse in" chips and chunks of colored glass. This gives the outside of the ball a granular texture. Then we treat the ball with a luster component, which adds an iridescent shine and depth to the surface. The end result is dramatic! Kugels are a sign of admiration and friendship to give as gifts to friends and family or that special someone in your life. Our Kugels are hand blown glass balls, each completely unique. Most are blown into an apple wood mold to retain shape and some consistency however some artists free blow their Kugels thus ending up with some irregularities. Air bubbles and irregularities are common and expected by the collector. These beautiful hand blown glass balls are known as symbols of friendship. They sparkle in the light the way a good friend brings sparkle to your life.
