Oh my gosh- where to start? I purchased this leather salesman's bag - stored for 50?years at the time- in the early 1970's from the estate of a family that owned a prosperous mercantile store in the early 1900's in Winston-Salem, NC. I believe the name was Rosenbacher but am not sure of the spelling. In it is a wonderful high quality catalog with models wearing the latest and raciest beautiful lingerie. There are over twenty full page photos ( printed on one side only of page-so all are usable) and silk samples, price listings, etc.. The samples are so cool. In beautiful condition the silks and crepe de chine samples are offered in a beautiful array of colors-and they feel soo good. In addition to that there are two cards of more silk samples and a book of samples from another silk company. All the samples are in like new condition. So surprising after all these years. There are a handful of several different illustrated fashion pamphlets including a sweet one for Fleur di Lis handmade cotton frocks for children. It has pretty vintage art work on the front. There is an order pad and payment envelopes with postage handily attached -2 cents at the time! Check out the pictures and thanks for taking a moment to look at this neat piece of retail fashion history. Questions happily answered.
