Up for auction is this royal Winton Hazel Pattern chintz jam pot with original underplate and lid. It is in the Ascot shape. The set is highlighted by the multicolored, multifloral design on back tiled background the distinguishes the popular Hazel pattern. It is trimmed in gold. It measures about 3 3/4 inches tall. The underplate (the widest piece) measures about 4 5/8 inches wide. The set is fully marked, in green, with the "Royal Winton GRIMWADES MADE IN ENGLAND" circle mark and, in blue script, "Hazel". It also has various hand written marks. These marks date the set to the 1930's. The set is in nice shape with no chips or cracks. Some crazing, commensurate and expected with Royal Winton soft paste of this vintage. Colors are clear and bright. Some very minor wear to gold trim (this wear id extremely minor and only mentioned for complete accuracy!).
