Seven Beautiful Royal Doulton Plates, hand painted by Robert Allen Studios, pattern # RA5005. Pattern is rose swags with laurel wreath center, rim edges are gold. All plates are marked with the Royal Doulton mark, also have Tiffany & Company signifying made to distribute by them, then also have the hand painted. number (in black, but one is in green paint) and initials identifying Robert Allen studios painted them. In addition, there is the number E1305 which from my understanding when referencing the Doulton makring system, would date them to made in 1903. There is a impression as well on them which I believe to b 6-03, which could mean June of 1903, however I am saying as an educated guess, based on additional information about Robert Allen Studio designs, they were made between April & June of 1903. Each plate measures approx. 10 1/8". For age, they are in very good condition. Light use wear on all, such as a utensil mark from use. Flaws are minimal, and are only on three plates. One has an area of crazing, another plate has a small chip on bottom foot rim, and another has some age discoloration in one spot of the gold rim paint. I have shown these all in close up photos above. Truly lovely plates, wonderful design and painting, sure to be treasured!
