Condition: Good. Finish needs some work to make it very good. A few nicks and scrapes. It is usable and attractive in current state. Roll mechanism is good and the lock is keyed. History: This desk probably dates to the 1920's and was used in my dad's Cleveland based Great Lakes maritime industry office until 1980 or so, and has been stored at his house since. Description: Appears to be mahogany wood and the design is of an Arts and Craft style. Hardware is original and appears to be brass . Supported by six legs that have 2 ¼ ' high metal sheathing (probably brass) on feet. Size: Width 6 feet (72") x Depth 3' 4" (40") x Height 3' 8" (44"). Main Drawer Compartments (internal depth is 33", some with separators.) Left Side: 4 drawers and one slide out shelf Right Side: 2 drawers, 1 file drawer (made to look like 2) and one slide out shelf Center 1 drawer with a pen and clips tray (also has lock, but no key) Small compartments under Roll-Top 12 drawers of various sizes, no lock 1 card-file drawer with seperator 1 locked cubby door on hinges with key 2 open cubbyholes (no drawer) This auction is for LOCAL PICKUP at my parents house in a west suburb of Cleveland or FREIGHT PAID BY BUYER to a U.S. address.
