Hello and welcome to my auction! I offer for your consideration: A GORGEOUS sterling silver souvenir spoon from ROCHESTER, INDIANA with the depiction of the old Fulton County COURT HOUSE in the bowl. (light or dark areas seen are merely a reflection of the camera flash-spoon is bright & shiny!) The Court House was built in 1895 and is on the NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES. The 2 story Romanesque Style building is made of stone and was built for $100,000. (research Google) Measures 5 1/4 inches long. Stamped on the back side is the maker mark of PAYE & BAKER (3 hearts) sterling Paye & Baker Mfg. Co. North Attleboro, Massachusetts Ca. 1891-1935. The handle is lovely with an ornate swirled scroll motif on both front & back. The embossed bowl is MARVELOUS and intricately detailed with the depiction of the Court House with its many architectural elements including an arched entry way, large clock tower & multiple hip roofs. Shrubbery enhances the corners of the building. Our photos do not begin to capture the MAGNIFICENT art work seen in this spoon! Condition is very good with minimal surface scratches as is typical is pieces of this age. T is a small dimple on the back of the bowl. (you have to look for it) A FABULOUS HISTORICAL souvenir spoon that is sure to bring someone much pleasure in the years to come! Perfect for the collector read more
