The bowl was produced by the Florence, Italy porcelain manufactory as a commission for the Metropolitan Museum of Art (NYC, NY). The dish titled "A revival of an Italian Doccia Pattern 1760 - 1770" is beautifully executed with crisp mold and fine embossed detail to the scrolled shell form. The bright white porcelain is decorated with a lovely Rococo inspired floral design which shows rich color and fine detail throughout. The piece measures 9 3/8" long, 6 7/8" wide and 2" deep. The base also bears the "Richard Ginori" "MANIFATTURA DI DOCCIA Florence" "ITALY" marks. The bowl is in excellent condition with no damage or noted wear, it appears unused and gently stored. This lovely Italian Doccia bowl would make a fine addition to any collection of Richard Ginori porcelains or MMA reproductions.Payment Payment must be received within three days following the close of the auction.
