A Restauration Bronze Mounted Marble ClockCirca 1820-30the movement with silk thread suspension and signed Hémon à Paris, together with a modern plaster Sphinx used as a finial ornament.Height of clock 20 x width 10 1/2 x depth 8 inches.This lot is located in Chicago.Property from a Private Kentucky CollectionThe movement winds, ticks and strikes when the hands are advanced. Not tested for duration or accuracy. With pendulum (possibly a replacement), no key included. A large chip on the back corner of the marble, not visible from the front. A chip on the front corner of the marble base, as well as other negligible flake chips making some of the marble edges rough. A glue repaired chip on one of the other back corner edges, not visible from the front. Spots of oxidization on the bronze.
