For your consideration, this is a beautiful vintage Little Red Riding Hood cookie jar. It is impressed on the front bottom "Little Red Riding Hood". There are no other maker's marks on his piece, but it appears to be the style of the Pottery Guild of America with the blue dress and red hood. This piece is in very good condition, no cracks, crazing or browning. There is a small rough area at the bottom of the dress that looks like a small flake has come off of it. There are 2 small areas of paint wear also on the bottom of the dress. No real chips, although a couple of rough to the touch areas along the rim of the lid, perhaps paint / gloss flaking. Noted very tiny pin holes scattered about the piece, visible in the photosThis piece measures 12 1/2" tall to the top of her hood. Width at the top of the jar is 4 1/2", width at the bottom of the jar is 6 1/4.Lovely vintage cookie jar.Thanks for stopping by.
