VINTAGE JOLLY BLACK AMERICANA CAST IRON MECHANICAL BANK – WORKS GREAT! Up for auction is a rare find. This is a vintage or antique cast iron mechanical bank. The jolly black fellow takes a coin in his hand – you can even place it under his thumb so it doesn’t come off. With the press of the button he raises the coin to his mouth while at the same time his eyes roll. It has a removable opener in the bottom to access one’s money. The bank stands approximately 7” tall and has a depth or width of 5”. This bank is also in excellent condition as far as its original paint. Banks such as this are becoming rare and much harder to find.
