Made in Canada in the late 1940s, this RCA Victor Model 50 tube radio tunes both AM and Shortwave bands. Powered up, the dial lights and when tested was able to tune in AM stations (no shortwave in vicinity?) - voices clear but with background static. The wood case has several scratches and scuffs, especially along edges; and the grille cloth will need to be repaired or replaced. There is a phone jack in the back as well as an outlet to power a phone motor. WIth a little care and repair, this radio can be beautifully restored.Measures 17" x 10" x 8" and weighs 13 lb.Note: Because this radio requires work to be fully functional, it is being sold 'as is'.
