On the block today this is a very rare and highly unusual solid bronze circa 1929 aviation commemorative plaque. The details on this plaque are superb. The plaque was made by the Medalic Art Co. in New York it was made to commemorate the merging of many of the biggest names from the golden age of aviation the plaque say as follows - Commemorating the merging of Wright Aeronautical, Curtiss Aeroplane corporation, Travelair and Motor Company Inc, Keystone Curtiss-Robertson Aircraft Co, Plane Mfg Co, Moth aircraft Co, Curtiss-Caproni Corp, New York Curtiss flying service, Air terminals Inc, Curtiss airports New York and sub, Curtiss aeroplane, Urban airlines Inc and Export Corp. The bottom is dated 1929. The images on the plaque depict an aeroplane as well as all phases of industry of the day dealing with flight. The plaque is signed JMS in th right corner. The condition is good with slight toning throughout. A great piece of aviation history to add to your collection. The plaque measures 4" x 2.5". As always no reserve!!
