About double-sided moghul jewels : The sophisticated taste of the Moghul rulers and their close relationship with the contemporary Persian monarchs together infused new vitality and vision in Indian craftsmanship. The controlled rhythmic linearism and balanced color-scheme of Persian Art merged with the intricate forms and breathtaking chiseling of the Indian goldsmith, which resulted in the two sided moghul jewels. At the centre these earrings feature large, 3 carat weight, 10x8mm in size, genuine rubies, surrounded with 8 gems, yellow sapphire, blue sapphire, emerald, pearl, cat's eye, coral, a rose cut diamond and a hessonite garnet. The gems account for about 9 carats of weight. The diamonds weigh about 20 cents total. These earrings are studded with over 15.2 carats of gems and diamonds, all earth-mined and genuine. These earrings were crafted in solid 22kt gold with the posts and clasps made in solid 18kt gold. These earrings measure 26mm, about 1 inches across and weigh about 18.1 grams.
