"Soft Perch" Primitive Punchneedle This whimsical Shawn William's Design is a Punchneedle that I handcrafted on weaver's cloth using all 3 stand overdyed Valdani and DMC Floss in rich primitives colors. Photos don't do the colors justice!Once completed I mounted it on to a wood board called a "hornbook". The board was first painted black then distressed and antiqued with a warm brown for an aged look. It is signed and dated. For a finishing touch--2 rusty bells are tied with twine to it's knob. The actual needlework measures approx. 5 3/4" wide X 3 3/4" tall.The hornbook measures approx. 7 1/4" wide by 8 1/8" tall by 1/2" deep.
