Primitive Halloween Pumpkin Witch Doll w/candy ~ PFATT

~~~Pumpkins, Witches and Crows~~~ ~Jake~a Hallowe'en Pumpkin I do love making Fall, Harvest and Halloween dolls I hope you enjoy this little fellow. Jake, the pumpinhead doll, is all ready for a night of trick or treating.Jake is made of painted, aged muslin and measures about 20" from the tips of his little feet to the point of the witch's hat. Jake's Mama got very creative while painting his face! His nose is black (actually stitched with floss). His grey eyes, black lips and brows were done with a black artist pencil. There's lots of shading to add to Jake's spookiness. Finally a brighter orange was used to blush his cheeks. Jake's Hallowe'en costume is a one piece outfit made with black cotton that has orange polka dots. The sleeves and pant legs were hemmed and tightly gathered with floss. The ruffled collar is made of a black/orange cotton check and an orange cotton with a black spider web pattern. Knotted around his neck is an orange sheer ribbon. Mama made Jake's witch's hat of black wool felt. She blanket stitched around the brim with orange floss and added black and orange eyelash trim around the crown. To carry his treats, Mama made Jake a black bag trimmed with orange and an orange strap. The bag is made of wool felt and also has blanket stitching around the top. At Grandma's house (Jake's first stop), he got three candy canes. These are made of black and orange chenille stems.Rusty pinned to Jake's hand is a tag with a vintage Hallowe'en image. The back is stamped "Trick or Treat". Jake is my own design and is signed and dated by me. He can sit or hang by the loop on his back.
