Piggy's Perfume" Punchneedle on Wood Pig This really fun piece is a Shawn William's design. It is a punchneedle handcrafted by me on weaver's cloth using all 3 strand overdyed Valdani and DMC floss in rich primitive colors. When completed, it was mounted to a black primitive pig shaped wood board that has it's edges distressed. For a finishing touch a homespun black and white checked bow and a rustic brown tag reading,"OINK" was tied to it's neck. A sawtoothed hanger was added to back for hanging, but it can be leaned to stand on it's own. It is signed and dated on back. The actual needlework measures approx. 4 3/4" long by 2 3/4" wide.The wood pig measures approx. 10 1/2" long by 6 1/2" wide by 3/4" deep.
