A nice scarce example of a dug 2 piece convex pre Civil War Infantry eagle 'I' button Albert# GI-85-B-TY. Backmark reads " .H. E. BALDWIN & CO. NEW-ORLEANS . An excavated button with an overall dark patina and a push in the 7 o'clock position. Full complete shank is slightly bent. Button measures 19.58mm.
